When Hearts Attach_v4-01.jpg

Luna Oliver's dream of becoming a surgeon appears within reach when she secures her top residency choice in New York City. The bonus—her older brother Forest and his childhood best friend, Keegan, are physicians there.

As Luna navigates the intricate world of medicine, a parallel journey unfolds within her heart. After not seeing Keegan for many years, a question continues to arise now that they’re in the same city. Has Keegan always been this gorgeous, or is it a new thing?

The gravitational pull between Luna and Keegan transcends the skyscrapers that surround them. But the overbearing and overprotective older brother Forest has always made it known—Keegan is like family and wholly off limits.

In the city that never sleeps, Luna’s heart is awakened to new possibilities, and she must find the courage to chart her own course. Luna has to decide if moving forward with her feelings is worth blowing up her entire world.

Leah Omar was born and raised in a small farming community in Minnesota, before moving to Minneapolis where she realized that a bookstore on each corner and the ability to disappear into anonymity was more her jam.

When Leah's not busy writing women's fiction and romance, she can be found watching a basketball game on TV, traveling somewhere far away, eating something spicy, or trying to shape the lives of her two amazing kids.

Leah's debut novel "A Labor of Love" was released in April of 2021. She has since released additional books, "Between Sunsets," "The Lives Between Us," and "Between Then and Now."

And because she loves almost nothing more than creating beautiful and complex characters, many more novels are forthcoming.

Reviews

This is probably the first book I’ve read all the way through in over 10 years. I do not read. But this book... wowza! I couldn’t put it down! I just wanted more and more and felt like I was living the life of the main character. I’m three days out from finishing it and STILL think about it and crave more. It was so easy to follow and kept my interest the entire time. It not only follows a midwife on her journey to Tanzania to support a low resource community, but it addresses racial disparities, heartbreak, love and major life decisions along the way. I love it and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who loves adventure, birth, romance and drama :)
