Two years ago, friendship with Robby was easy.
 
Two years ago, Jenna made him question his life in Chicago. But his job kept him there.
 
Just friends. That’s all Robby and Jenna would ever be. 
 
Now, Jenna’s small town on Lake Traverse brings Robby home. Since that summer they spent together, however, everything has changed. Jenna is picking up the pieces of her life and recovering from the trauma from her ex-boyfriend. She plans to become a journalist, with the hopes of leaving Wheaton and her old life behind. She and Robby aren’t moving in the same direction, so spending time with him is a terrible idea. 
 
Robby is at a professional crossroads. He’d always wanted to be in the finance industry, but he didn’t go to college to become someone who makes rich people richer. But that’s exactly what he’s doing. By visiting his grandparents in Wheaton, he’s hoping to gain a new perspective. When he runs into Jenna, he plans to keep his distance. After all, they didn’t exactly leave things in a good place. 
 
Robby’s sister and the rest of the small town keep forcing them together, and they can’t deny their attraction. However, a shared affection isn’t always enough to guarantee a happy ending. The stars need to align so Robby and Jenna’s lives can finally start moving toward a second chance.
