When Hearts Attach

Luna’s life is playing out exactly how she hoped it would. So when she matches with a surgical residency program in New York City, at the same hospital where her older brother is an up and coming Cardiologist, she feels on top of the world. 
 
What she had forgotten, is that her brother’s best friend, someone who grew up in their hometown in the Midwest, a person who was always considered family, is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the same hospital, and she would be forced to see him constantly, whether she wanted to or not. 
 
When Luna sees Dr. Keegan Baldwin on her first day in the city, she can’t reconcile the handsome man in front of her, from the awkward boy she grew up with. Keegan has turned into a tall, muscular, witty, and confident surgeon, and the way he looks in scrubs doesn’t hurt.
 
Luna can’t allow herself to look at Keegan differently. He’s family, and she made a pact with her brother years ago that they would never date each other’s friends. But sometimes the pull we feel towards someone outweighs every other logical thought.
